Strength is not the only component of achieving structural balance.  It also includes mobility and flexibility.  When performing a motor skill, internal and external forces acting on the human body determine how parts of the body move to produce and resist forces.

The Lower Body Structural Balance Assessment includes 12 total movement and flexibility screenings.

Having established a standard technique for each individual, you will not only be able to detect faults in your athlete’s performance, but you also be able to create the appropriate training program to remedy the imbalances, whether its strength , mobility, or flexibility based.

From the screenings, you will create effective programs to help correct these imbalances.

The 3-day PICP™ Lower Body Structural Balance Course will cover:

  • Lower Body Structural Balance Assessment
  • Program Design with Periodization Models for Athletes & Gen Pop Clients
  • Functional Anatomy for the knee and posterior chain
  •  Exercise Variations & Progressions of the Lower Body

Here’s what to expect:

  • After registration, you will gain access to the online Theory Manual and online theory presentation and receive specific course information (hotels, airports, and what you need to bring to class).
  • Between registration and the course, you are required to successfully complete the Theory Exam with a score of 92% or better.  We ask that this is done at least before attending the in-person course.
  • In the course you will complete the practical exam of demonstrating the Lower Body Structural Balance Assessment.  This will be graded on a rubric and the passing score is 96%.
